I am Yong Ji, a final-year Biological Sciences student at Imperial College London. I am from Beijing, China. My research interests are in Virology, specifically viral surveillance and translational immunology. In addition to these, I am interested in basketball, pop music, and visual arts. Biological Sciences Academic Representative
Department of Life Sciences Student Ambassador
As the Biological Sciences Academic Representative, I collected student academic inquiries, communicated them to staff in staff-student committee meetings, and emailed staff advice to students shortly after each meeting. Through this experience, I realized the importance of interpersonal communication.
As a Department of Life Sciences Student Ambassador, I led three open-day events, where I shared my perception of Imperial College London. I also supported prospective students and led campus tours and laboratory induction. During this experience, I became obsessed with helping others.
